Zentaris Roadmap 2026: Clans, Custom Lobbies, New Maps, and Esports Tournaments

When we launched Zentaris v1.0, our mission was clear: deliver a lightning-fast, zero-friction tactical browser shooter with authentic ballistics and a global ranked leaderboard. The community response has been overwhelming, with thousands of daily duels and fierce battles for the #1 leaderboard spot.

Now, it is time to look forward. Today, we are unveiling the Zentaris 2026 Development Roadmap, outlining the major feature rollouts scheduled over the next four quarters.

1. Phase 1 (Q3 2026): Custom Scrim Lobbies & Spectator Mode

Competitive teams need dedicated spaces to practice map callouts, test recoil compensation, and host organized scrimmages without affecting public leaderboard MMR.

  • Password-Protected Custom Lobbies: Host private matches with customized tick rates, round limits, friendly fire toggles, and weapon bans.
  • Cinematic Spectator Cam: Dedicated casting slot equipped with top-down 2D radar view, first-person smooth camera chasing, and real-time damage statistics for tournament broadcasters.

2. Phase 2 (Q4 2026): Clan System & Clan Wars

Solo queue glory is rewarding, but tactical shooters reach their pinnacle when five coordinated teammates execute synchronized strategies under a shared banner.

[CLAN CREATION]
  -> Custom 4-Character Clan Tag [e.g., VEX]
-> Shared Clan XP Bank & Roster Management
-> Weekly Clan Leaderboard & Territory Control
  • Clan Tags in Match Feeds: Display your clan affiliation proudly in the killfeed and on the global leaderboards.
  • Territory War Seasons: Weekly scheduled matches where top clans battle for control of Outpost Sigma to unlock exclusive cosmetic weapon finishes.

3. Phase 3 (Q1 2027): New Map — "Neon Neo-Tokyo"

While Desert Combat provides arid, open sightlines, our next competitive map moves combat into a multi-level rain-slicked metropolitan sector:

  • Verticality Focus: Elevated skybridge walkways, glass office interiors, and narrow alleyways.
  • Dynamic Weather & Lighting: High-contrast neon reflections powered by real-time WebGL shader passes.
  • New Weapon Class: Introduction of a high-velocity precision bolt-action rifle and a lightweight tactical submachine gun.

4. Phase 4 (Q2 2027): The Zentaris Open Championship

With custom lobbies and clan infrastructure established, we will launch the inaugural Zentaris Open Championship:

  • Open Community Qualifiers: Any 5-player roster can enter online bracket play directly from their browser.
  • Global Broadcast: Live-streamed grand finals with live commentary and real-time in-game spectator overlays.
  • Cash Prize Pool: Rewarding the most disciplined tactical minds in browser gaming.
